Product details, use and care

Pratley Steel is a high performance adhesive metal mender. It can be filed, swan and sanded within 3 hours of mixing. Pratley is electrical insulating. Pratley cannot rust. It is formulated to match the colour of most metals containing iron. Pratley Steel sticks on:

• Metal
• Stone
• Cement
• Concrete
• Slate
• Glass
• Wood
• and most rigid materials.

How to use
Surface Preparation
Clean the two surfaces so that it is free of dirt, oil or grease. Both surfaces must be sanded.
Mixing Procedure

• From the tube with the white cap, squeeze out a bead of resin onto a flat non-absorbent surface such as a piece of cardboard.
• From the tube with the black cap, squeeze out a bead of resin next to the previous bead.
• Use only as much as can be applied in 2-3 minutes, However, to ensure equal proportions, the bead should not be bigger than 15mm.
• Replace the colour coded caps CORRECTLY.
• Use a small stick to mix thoroughly until en even colour is obtained.
• Use within 3 minutes of mixing.

Set Time (at 23°C)This is temperature and quantity dependent.

• The Pratley will gel in 6 minutes.
• Will by dry to touch in 30min.
• 60% strength in 3 hours.
• Completely dry in 3 hours.
• Full strength in 24 hours.

Some suggested uses:
• Mend metal ornaments
• Mend silver mugs or candlesticks
• Fill blow holes in castings
• Fill badly welded joints
• Bond metals
• mend Ceramic and stone objects
• Repair leaks
Not Recommended for:
• Bonding rearview mirrors to windscreens.
• Continuous high temperature above 90°C.
• Flexible materials.
• Prolong underwater environment.

WARNINGSBefore cured may cause an allergic skin reactions. May respiratory irritation. If needed, seek medical advice, keep the product or label in hand. Avoid breathing vaporous. Wear protective gear.
